CHILD CARE FEE SUBSIDY
In order to remove financial barriers to employment and educational and retraining opportunities, or for children with developmental delays, parents requiring assistance with child care costs may apply for subsidy from Lambton County. As of January 01, 2007 Child Care Subsidy is based on a newly developed income test. The most recent net income tax form or Canada Child Tax Benefit Notice will be used to determine if a family qualifies, with eligibility based on their net family income. Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program recipients are eligible for a full fee subsidy.
Subsidy is available at most child care centres and nursery schools in Lambton County. Residents of Lambton County may apply for child care subsidy by contacting the Children's Services Department at the Lambton Shared Services Centre to arrange an appointment.
