The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is a federally chartered, non-profit organization with provincial chapters from coast to coast.
Our goal is to provide a once in a lifetime experience for children suffering from high risk, life-threatening illnesses. Our vision is to help every child enjoy the best quality of life possible, including the experience of laughter, shared joy and treasured memories with important people in their lives. Family, friends, teachers and medical advisors can request a wish. The only stipulations are that the parents or legal guardians must consent to our involvement; a doctor must sign a medical release; and the child must not have reached their 18th birthday at the time the request is received. The most requested wishes are to visit Disney Theme Parks, followed by meeting a celebrity and visiting a family member. Whatever the wish, the entire family of the child is included. We do our utmost to make the child's wish come true. The Children's Wish Foundation is responsible for all the expenses involved in granting the wish.
