Canada's Waiting Children (CWC) Program

The CWC program aims to recruit prospective adoptive parents for children in Canada who are waiting for adoption. The program provides a link between potential adoptive parents and adoption workers at various public child welfare agencies across Canada. The CWC program is an additional resource for both adoption workers and prospective adoptive parents. Adoption workers can refer a child to the program with the hope of finding a suitable adoptive family. Prospective adoptive parents can access a password-protected photolisting with profiles of children who are waiting for adoption in Canada.

Since the CWC program started in 1997, 873 children have been referred by adoption workers, and over 739 of those children have found permanent homes.

More information about the CWC program is available online at: www.canadaswaitingkids.ca or by contacting info@canadaswaitingkids.ca
