This non-profit organization run by parent volunteers offers a Monday morning drop-in centre/playgroup and support group for all moms, dads and caregivers with infants to pre-schoolers in the Lambton County area. Each week volunteers organize special activities with crafts, songs, playtime, storytelling and snacks for the children. Parents are encouraged to participate and help with the planning of activities and in the supervising of their children. There is a well baby clinic on the first Monday of every month. Scholastic book orders are also available.
The playgroup is open to all infants and pre-schoolers in Lambton County. (Guests from other counties are also welcome). All children must be accompanied by a mom, dad or other caregiver. There are two sessions per year with the first session running from September to the end of January and the second running from February to the end of June. To help offset the cost of juice and craft supplies there is a $10.00 fee per session.
The group meets every Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., during the school year, in the Camlachie United Church basement.
