The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing Canadians affected by brain tumours with support, information and education, and to funding brain tumour research.
Information is offered through our "Pediatric Patient Resource Handbook" that provides parents and family members valuable information about tumour types, treatments, community services etc. Our children's storybook "A Friend in Hope: A story about Hope's journey with a brain tumour" provides support and information to young children who have been affected by a diagnosis, either personally or someone close to them. Our children and teen support program, Brainwave, is available throughout Southwestern Ontario and to learn more, contact our Support Services Coordinator. We also offer a newsletter, "Brainstorm" that is sent out three times per year. There is a special program of activities for children called Kids Konference for children who attend the annual London Information Day conference each fall. The conferences highlight the latest developments in brain tumour research and treatments from leading-edge researchers and specialists. In addition, survivors and loved ones come together to share stories of hope and encouragement.
