Community Services Programs include fitness classes, volleyball, disc golf, and Blacktop Baseball (an opportunity for youth with disabilities to participate in a community baseball program). The Petrolia Discovery Trails provide a natural walking environment through Bridgeview Park. Various parks are available for rent for picnics, events and other activities.

The Greenwood Recreation Centre offers public skating, adult skating, sledge hockey (a program for students with disabilities), hockey for all ages, and is home to the Petrolia Minor Hockey League (www.petroliahockey.com) and the Petrolia and District Skating Club.

The facilities at the Oil Heritage District Community Centre include a main pool and therapy pool, gymnasium and wellness centre.

Pool programs include Red Cross swimming lessons for preschoolers ages four months to five years, and for children/youth six years and older; classes for adults who want to learn basic to advanced swimming skills; lifesaving courses; recreational swimming; swim team; synchronized swimming and water fitness.

Preschool programs (ages 18 months to six years) include drop in and ten week programs which require registration.  Activities include storytime, music, crafts, active games and dance.

Youth programs are for children 6 to 13 years.  Among the activities available are sports, highland dancing, rhythmic gym, skipping to music, craft projects, hip hop and games.  Programs take place during the week, on weekends, during special holiday seasons and on P.A. days.

Teen programs include teen drop in (basketball, ball hockey, indoor soccer), circuit training, kung fu, euchre, floor hockey and indoor soccer.  Also available are yoga for persons fourteen years and older and mother/daughter fitness.
