Self-Study Program
The Student Centre is open 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. You may register for courses any time during these hours.
Self-study credit courses allow you to earn your high school diploma at your own pace, on a schedule that fits into your life. We can help you if:
- you are over 18 years of age

you need a high school diploma to get a job or continue your education

you cannot attend regular day school

you have a family or job and need a flexible schedule

you want to improve your skills for job placement or advancement

Upgrading Program: Literacy and Basic Skills
The Upgrading Program provides assistance to adults 19 years of age and over who wish to improve reading, writing, math and computer skills in order to return to high school, or post-secondary education, prepare for employment testing or return to the workforce. This program is available to students not currently enrolled in regular day school. Qualified instructors supervise each student's program and intake is continuous. Students work at their own pace.
Workforce specific training is also available, including Customer Service Training and Computer Job Readiness Training. Assistance with transportation and childcare may be available. Call for a free assessment.

Day Classes
To register for day school modules which cost $20.00 for the whole course and run for thirty seven school days, come to the Alternative and Continuing Education Centre. Courses include beginner, intermediate and advanced Computers, Math, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Parenting and Career Studies, with modules available every two months except for the summer. All registrations require a transcript and students under 18 must have a referral.
Computer Job Readiness Program
This free eight week course which has day and evening sessions is designed for adults who are looking for work and have little or no computer skills.
