The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada is a voluntary, non-profit organization dedicated to finding the cause of and cure for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by funding medical research and providing educational programs. The Foundation also aims to improve the treatment of patients and to provide current IBD information for patients and their families, health professionals and the general public.
Yearly membership in the Foundation costs $30.00. Members receive a free subscription to CCCF's magazine "The Journal" which includes up-to-date information regarding Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, news on the latest research and updates on regional activities. The Sarnia-Lambton Satellite Chapter distributes a local educational newsletter and seeks to raise public awareness about IBD.
