Education Program
Services: Education Workers are located in the schools where the majority of Aamjiwnaang members attend to assist students and teachers with a range of student support services. Post Secondary Information and Career counselling is available through the office. A Junior Kindergarten Program for 4 year olds is offered on the First Nation.
Resource Centre
Services: Career, training, college and university information; help with resume writing; apprenticeship information. Student support services also offered. Access to computers,fax and copying. Personal assessment to complete OSSD; credit courses available through the Alternative and Continuing Education Program.
Social Services
Services: Ontario Works/Social Assistance
Eligibility: Recipients must reside on Aamjiwnaang First Nation.

Community Health Program
Aamjiwnaang First Nation Community Health Program takes a holistic approach to health care. By mixing education, personal contact and traditional health the Community Health Program meets the needs of all community members.
Services: Prevention and educational services, pre and post natal programs, sex education, diabetes education, blood sugar and blood pressure clinic, nutritional awareness, grief recovery, and AIDS Awareness.
Healthy Babies/Healthy Children
To educate the community regarding the relationship of a healthy lifestyle, before, during, and after childbirth.
Services: Educational workshops, hospital and home visits, baby weigh in clinics, family drop in, family support, parenting classes, prenatal classes, and resource library.
Substance Abuse Intervention Program
The Aamjiwnaang Substance Abuse Intervention Program strives to develop a healthy, cohesive community, free from substance abuse and its effects through education and awareness and involvement of community members in addressing issues of substance abuse.
Services: Prevention and educational services, brief or comprehensive assessments, treatment planning and referrals, early intervention counselling, aftercare and support services.
Youth Program
To enhance youth self-esteem by providing them with the opportunity to be involved in healthy activities which promote healthy social interactions.
Services: Organized recreational activities and events, Sports Night, prevention and educational services, support and/or counselling services, referral services, and Drop In Centre.

The Aamjiwnaang First Nation has a strong commitment to provide a high quality childcare service, where the childcare needs of the children, the parents, families, and community are met. We are committed to the care and overall development of each child and our educational based program is implemented in an environment that is comfortable, functional, emotionally warm and supportive, as well as being safe and hygienic to promote optimal learning. The cultural diversity of the community is recognized in the program as well as the uniqueness of individual children and their families regardless of their cultural
background, gender, belief, and attitudes.
Services: The Child Care Centre has the capacity for children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years in four separate program areas.

Hours of Operation: 7:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
Fees: A fee schedule is available at time of registration. Subsidized fees may be available to eligible families.
